Meat consumption on the rise

Laos expects to require a total of 487,000 tones of meat, eggs and fish or an average of 65 kg per capital per year by 2020 and expects to grow to 79 kg by 2025. Recently, the government is encouraging farmers to breed cattle, goats, pig, chicken and fish to meet domestic consumption needs which are increasing year by year.
