Lao Biodiversity Association (LBA)
The Lao Biodiversity Association (LBA) is a Non-Profit Association (NPA) founded in 2003 by Mr. Houmphanh Rattanavong under the Lao Union of Science and Engineering Association (LUSEA). It was officially registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) in 2011. LBA actively provides technical support for biodiversity conservation and ecological system development, promotes related state policies, and implements strategies and action plans.
LBA comprises 33 members with diverse qualifications and expertise, most of whom contribute their time as needed. Its structure includes:
- Management Board Committee
- Inspection Committee
- Technical Team/Program Management Team
Vision: Better livelihoods in well-protected biodiversity.
Mission: Through cooperation and partnerships with all stakeholders, we promote community-based livelihoods linked with active, participatory biodiversity and natural resource conservation.
