What had been done:

Research on IPM for rice, cassava and maize focusing in IPM
Cultured: Anagylus lopeszi (to control mealy bugs in cassava, and Trichogramma japinicum to control mealy bugs, caterpillar), and delivered to the farmers’ filed and trained to PAFO.
Services: Chemical residue analysis in vegetables, fruits and in fertiliser and its nurients composition PPT is also part of OA standard control particularly which in charge on laboratory chemical analysis of particular products and samples (e.g fertilizers, pesticide, herbicide)

What are difficulties:

Farmers are not interested in IPM approach because of there is no any facilities (laboratory, chemical) that could allow the action on their farm on time because it take time to see the result eventually could not see the impact on IPM in the field.

Limiting of human resource on IPM in all levels (Ministry, PAFO, DAFO)

What are their ideas to progress:

Need financial support on IPM laboratory facilities and chemical supply on IPM implementation in the provincial levels

Need scholarship for the Plant Protection Cernter and PAFO/DAFO staff to upgrade their specialist in IPM
