What had been done: | Farmers and consumers awareness on the agriculture chemical and its effect, and on a technical process for a GAP on vegetables (inspired from DoA standard). Blood sample test of the level of chemical residue remaining in consumers and farmers body (and showed the results to all participants). |
What are difficulties: | 1. High demand of service on advisory of organic produce due to the price of organic vegetable is high, but the project had limited fund and staff. Since LURAS had promoted to farming practice to the targets farmers in XK (Good Agriculture Practice and Organic Agriculture), farmers did not see the clear strategy on the marketing support from government, consequently farmers are only interesting on the OA (and not on GAP), which is very much clear supporting from government. Example: price for OA is hifgher than for GAP no specifc price for GAP). 2. Publishing of information on the agriculture chemical list and use guide for farmers and technician (DAFO) was limited |
What are their ideas to progress: | Develop the poster, and other media on the agriculture chemical and its use guideline, providing to agriculture, education sector, and public health institution to continue promotion. Most of the materials on the agriculture chemical and its effect were distributed to the PAFO, DAFO, producer |
