Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, RUA

The Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (Faculty of AERD) was officially established in January 1999 at the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) under the technical and financial support of the PARFAAC II program and with strong initiatives of Prof. Marc Dufumier, Dr. Sam El Meach, Asso. Prof. Kathy Bora, and many RUA lecturers. The faculty of AERD envisions producing future leaders in the field of agricultural economics, agribusiness, ecosystem services, agroecology, and rural development to engage in development-orientated research and public services that would promote innovation and sustainability.

It has its missions and objectives to :

(1) educate undergraduates and graduates and the community in the related fields;

(2) provide research and publication;

(3) provide training and extension on incubation and entrepreneurship;

(4) provide consultation on agricultural economics and the environment.
