Farmers experienced that naturally grown cauliflowers gave high yields with less cost of cultivation (Myanmar)

The Farmer Journal Vol-12, Issue 180 for December 28-January 3, 2016:

Vegetable producers in Magway Division are saying that cost of cultivation of naturally grown cauliflowers are very low and yet providing them with high yield.  In Makyi village and Chaung Ma Gyi village of Seik Phyu township in Magway region, vegetable farmers are successful in growing their cauliflowers using cow dung and sesame cake (by product from oil pressing mill).  By using 500 baskets of cow dung @ 400MMK/basket and 100 viss of sesame cake @ 1000MMK/viss, they they have learned that their harvested cauliflowers are of very good quality the market appreciated (particularly markets in Chauk and Seik Phyu townships).  Although they are using a very small quantity of chemicals applied at the very young stage of the crops, this experience have motivated them to move towards purely organic farming that can satisfy the consumers and market demand.
