Huam Jai Asasamak Association (HJA) is a Lao-based organization dedicated to empowering youth, particularly those from vulnerable and ethnic minority groups, through volunteerism and community development initiatives.

Empower Youth Volunteers: Provide vulnerable youth across all ethnicities with knowledge and practical skills through immersive learning experiences, enabling them to actively participate in community development.

Programs and Initiatives
HJA implements various programs focusing on capacity building, environmental sustainability, and community engagement:

Youth and Women Leaders for Climate Change Adaptation (YWL for CCA): Launched in November 2024, this project aims to train young women in climate resilience strategies. An orientation workshop in Sangthong District marked its inception, emphasizing collaboration between district authorities and local communities.

Organic Farming and Greenhouse Training: In December 2024, HJA conducted training sessions on organic vegetable cultivation, sustainable resource use, and greenhouse construction for youth in Beng District. This initiative promotes environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture.

Community Development Funds: HJA collaborates with village authorities to establish and manage development funds. In December 2024, the organization facilitated the creation of management rules and the transfer of funds in six target villages across Pabeng and Beng districts, aiming to empower local communities through financial support.
Organizational Development
HJA is committed to continuous improvement and strategic planning. The annual review meeting in June 2024 at the Grand Vientiane Hotel gathered 23 participants, including 13 women, to assess the previous year’s achievements and outline future activities.
