A significant milestone in the history of ALiSEA Network was reached towards an autonomous member-managed network with the creation of the National ALiSEA Board of Members in three countries: Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam!
The National ALiSEA Board of Members (BoM) will play a key role in supporting the network structuration, shaping its governance, building a shared vision among members and developing national strategy and action plan.
As a result of the call for interest launched early 2021, among all ALiSEA Network Members, the Board of Members is now put in place and consist of five members organizations in Cambodia, four in Laos and five in Vietnam.
The selection committee was composed of eight people from GRET, CIRAD and the current ALiSEA national secretariat. The selection committee involved people at national and regional levels.

In total 63 ALiSEA Members attended the three online introduction sessions to launch the National ALiSEA Board of Members.
During these introduction sessions, members raised several topics of interest for further knowledge and experience sharing:
Cambodia
- Sustainable agricultural and farming certification (standards and method)
- Sustainable chicken production (raising techniques, chicken feed)
- Innovative initiatives engaging youth in agriculture (vocation education and training)
Laos
- Agricultural products and food processing (techniques, food safeguard, administrative procedures)
- Organic farming certification.
Vietnam
- Sustainable agricultural and farming certification (standards and method)
- Encourage wide dissemination and scaling up agroecology transition (how to better engage with and support farmer’s communities).
- What Policy dialogue focus for ALiSEA network.
