COFAP is a non-government organization that registered with the Ministry of Interior on 4th July, 2002, COFAP works to overcome poverty and suffering of the poor communities. It is a non-partisan, non-profit Cambodian organization, with no political party affiliations. The organization focuses its works on the development of Cambodia for the benefits of the poor community through organizing the people; development works to upgrade living conditions of the poor, promotion of rights-based approach development, and democracy amongst local people in Cambodia. Vision: “Peaceful, Alleviation of Poverty and Sustainability”. All members of the community are equal in status, and each member should be responsible for themselves and also have a sense of responsibility to the community as a whole. There should always be solidarity, democracy, respect for human rights and social justice, gender equity, accountability, peace and sustainability. Mission: • Help create and support community-based organizations that are appropriate and empower them to be able to use community resources and seek out externalities to implement projects that meet the basic needs of the community in a way that is consistent with sustainability. • Promote the economic, social and cultural rights of the people, especially women and children. • Building relationships with governments, authorities, development agencies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations and community organizations to promote sustainable development. Objectives: To make the poor people improve their standard of living to be fulfilled peacefully and sustain ably. COFAP has 4 main Program is 1. Food security 2. Education 3. Disaster Rick Reduction and Climate Change and 4. Child Sponsorship
