Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH)

Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is a Non-Governmental organisation founded in Lyon, France, in 1994.

TGH provides concrete solutions to alleviate the suffering of populations living under unacceptable circumstances. We fight poverty and facilitate social inclusion.

We develop and implement programmes in collaboration with national and international partners. We mobilise local skills and resources to respond to local needs. We design integrated and sustainable solutions and We design solutions that are integrated and sustainable and build our beneficiaries’ capacity to make decisions and take action.

Our work is informed by our ability to understand needs and to respond to them, as well as by our professionalism and pragmatism. Our work is also based on the concept of association as a space where people act together towards the same goal, which is not for profit sharing.

In Myanmar, we have been working since 2008. Our agricultural programme started in 2012 and focussed on an extremely remote and under-served region, Matupi Township in Chin State.

We have been working with farmers across a number of villages (33 in 2018) and have been supporting them to:

•  Improve their paddy field cultivation through access to irrigation, mindful mechanization and disaster-risk reduction strategies; and to

•  Diversify their crops and diet by introducing market gardening as an off-season adapted strategy

Our work includes environmental protection strategies e.g. provision of alternatives to traditional slush & burn practices, techniques to reduce soil erosion, promotion of non-chemicals use, etc.
