On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Socialist Public of Vietnam and Republic of France (1973-2018) and the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Phu Tho Agro-Forestry Research Institute (6/1918-2/2018), Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Science (VAAS) together with French Agriculture Research Center for International Development (CIRAD) and Northern Mountainous of Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (NOMAFSI) have organized the workshop on “Vietnam –France cooperation towards the development of sustainable agriculture for the northern mountainous region of Vietnam” on the 20th of June with the objectives of reviewing the updated results and achievements of some collaborative Vietnam – France projects in term if sustainable agriculture development in northern mountainous region of Vietnam; explore and propose new vision and strategies for research collaboration between two countries in the next period regarding to ecology agriculture development in northern mountainous region
The participation of the workshop are the leaders of MARD, VAAS and its member institutions, the representative of French research centers/institutions/agencies in Vietnam; universities. International research organization, local government and mass media agencies
