Sustainable Asa Mobilizing Development Association (SAMDA)

The Sustainable Asa Mobilizing Development Association (SAMDA) was founded by a group of development workers committed to supporting disadvantaged communities, particularly in rural and remote areas. SAMDA focuses on key sectors such as education, health, agriculture and forestry, natural resource management, environmental protection, safe migration, human rights, gender equity, youth empowerment, and strengthening village authorities in mediation work.

Operating in alignment with the laws and regulations of the Lao PDR, SAMDA upholds a non-discriminatory approach, ensuring inclusivity across all races, ethnicities, and genders. The organization specifically targets ethnic women, mothers and children, vulnerable communities, youth groups, migrant workers, agricultural production groups, and village authorities. By promoting the rich cultural heritage and traditions of ethnic communities, SAMDA aims to contribute to the Lao government’s socio-economic development agenda, particularly the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), to improve the livelihoods of rural populations.
