Husk Ventures

HUSK Ventures is a Spanish-registered social enterprise dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers by transforming rice husks into affordable, high-quality biochar products and bio-inputs, including rice husk vinegar.

By working in partnership with organic rice mills, we install pyrolysis technology to produce biochar and renewable energy for paddy drying. This approach not only adds value to agricultural waste but also helps reduce carbon emissions, improve soil fertility, and enhance crop yields while lowering farmers’ dependency on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Our Mission

  • Improve smallholder farmers’ incomes through sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Enhance soil health and fertility by incorporating biochar-based solutions.
  • Provide affordable and effective bio-inputs to reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Promote climate-resilient farming by sequestering carbon and reducing waste.

Our Products

  • Biochar—Enhances soil structure, moisture retention, and nutrient absorption.
  • Carbon-Based Fertilizer (CBF)—A nutrient-rich, biochar-infused fertilizer that boosts plant resilience.
  • Onix P9—A biofertilizer combining macro and micronutrients with biochar.
  • Natural Insect Repellent (NIR)—A foliar spray made from natural compounds to protect crops.
  • Rice Husk Vinegar—A bio-input derived from pyrolysis, beneficial for plant growth and pest control.
