Khao Kai Noi Houaphan Promotion Association (KHPA) is a Lao civil society organization operating at the provincial level, with an office located in Ban Phanxay, Sam Nua District, Huaphan Province. The main role of the association is the representation of the Khao Kai Noi members (Small chicken rice) for both farmer producer groups and entrepreneurs to protect the reputation of small chicken rice as a native origin (geographical indications-GI) also the association has the task of researching and developing the value chain of small chicken rice with the potential to use the registration of small chicken rice of native origin (GI) as an intellectual property of the community (Huaphan Province and Xieng Khouang Province) under the endorsement of intellectual property by The Department of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Industry and Trade, focuses on promoting farmers producer groups and processors of small chickens to have a stable career and better income.
