Rural Development & Sustainable Agriculture Association (RDSA)

The Rural Development & Sustainable Agriculture Association (RDSA) is a non-profit organization based in Attapeu Province, Laos. It was granted a temporary certificate from the Provincial Governor’s Office (No. 941/ຈຂ.ອປ) on October 11, 2017.

Our Mission & Focus Areas

RDSA is dedicated to improving the well-being of rural communities through sustainable development. Our work focuses on five key areas:

  • Agriculture – Promoting sustainable farming techniques, agroecology, and food security.
  • Health – Supporting community health initiatives, nutrition programs, and clean water access.
  • Education – Strengthening rural education, providing training, and improving access to learning resources.
  • Gender Equality – Empowering women and marginalized groups in rural communities.
  • Environment – Advocating for forest conservation, climate change adaptation, and environmental protection.
Our Experience & Achievements

Our team has over 10 years of experience in education, agriculture, and community development. We have worked closely with local authorities, community groups, and international organizations to implement impactful programs that drive positive change in Attapeu Province.

In 2018, RDSA secured funding from the Global Environment Facility’s Small Grants Programme (GEF/SGP) under UNDP to implement a project focused on:

  • Forest conservation – Protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable land use.
  • Environmental protection – Raising awareness and supporting eco-friendly initiatives.
  • Climate change adaptation – Helping communities develop strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change effects.
