Village Support Group (VSG)

Village Support Group (VSG) is a Cambodian non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities and improving livelihoods. Established in 1995 and officially registered with the Ministry of Interior in 2007, VSG works to support sustainable development through inclusive, community-led approaches.

Our Vision

We envision a society where all communities live in peace, with environmental sustainability, improved health and food security, resilient economic development, self-reliance, gender equality, and democratic participation.

Our Mission

VSG collaborates with government institutions, non-governmental organizations, private sector stakeholders, and community partners to address the fundamental needs of marginalized and vulnerable populations. Our mission is to enhance livelihoods, promote resilience, and strengthen community participation in development processes.

Our Areas of Work

VSG implements diverse community-driven initiatives to promote sustainable development, focusing on:

  1. Community Empowerment & Natural Resource Management – Supporting fisheries and forestry conservation, sustainable resource use, and community-led management.
  2. Climate Change & Environment – Enhancing climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and environmental awareness.
  3. Access to Public Information & Advocacy – Strengthening transparency, citizen rights, and grassroots advocacy.
  4. Local Good Governance – Promoting participatory governance, capacity building, and civic engagement.
  5. Agriculture, Food Security & Nutrition – Advancing sustainable farming, food security, WASH, and nutrition education.
  6. Older People’s Association (OPA) Development – Empowering older adults through social inclusion, healthcare, and economic support.
  7. Youth & Women’s Socio-Economic Empowerment – Expanding economic opportunities, vocational training, and leadership development.
