Summary:

The proposed action is built upon an existing initiative where AFD and CamboDHRRA have been working together to strengthen the roles of women and young farmers in leading agroecology action research in the Salavisai agricultural cooperative, Kampong Thom province. Through the action, the farmers will develop their technical knowledge and skills on agroecology concept, Participatory Innovation Development (PID), applying the Gender Action Learning System (GALS) in agroecology and field experimentation. The action will also contribute to the effort of CamboDHRRA and its members at the national level to lobby and constructively engage with policies makers of government line ministries through linking the field experience of CSOs, Farmer Organizations (FO), agricultural cooperatives (AC) and relevant stakeholders to the policy level.,. In addition, the knowledge products (case study, policy brief and result of action research) generated from the project implementation will be widely disseminated across CamboDHRRA and ALiSEA networks at national and regional levels.
