Agriculture and Forestry Research & Development Centre for Mountainous Region (ADC)

As a leading non-governmental organization in Vietnam, ADC is implementing activities to support poor communities in response to climate change and sustainable livelihoods development. Over the years, ADC has been constantly improving professional capacity for the staff of the centre and operating in various fields such as: agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries development; management and conservation of natural resources; socioeconomic development, poverty alleviation and policy advocacy and climate change. In addition to implementing activities to support minority communities in the northern mountainous areas, the center is also involved in research activities, and technology transfer in the field of Agriculture- Forestry- Fisheries – Livestock and Climate Change.

Typically, research activities which are in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology of the provinces of Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, are in-depth and diverse in the study of crops and livestock. Besides, ADC also conducted studies on the conservation of natural resources and climate change in the mountainous region, published in different journals in the world.
