Background:

Rikolto is an international non-governmental organisation (INGO) with over 50 years of experience partnering with farmer organizations and food chain actors across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Rikolto operates programmes in 18 countries worldwide through 5 regional offices.

We reach our goals by building bridges between smallholder farmer organizations, companies, authorities, and other actors across rural and urban areas. Rikolto in Southeast Asia (SEA) operates in Vietnam, with an office based in Hanoi. To support the implementation of our Rice Project in the Mekong Delta region, we are seeking to recruit three motivated and qualified Vietnamese professionals for the following positions. Two positions will be based in Dong Thap Province. The remaining position is preferably based in Dong Thap Province; however, Hanoi may be considered depending on candidate availability and suitability.

1. RICE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (01)
   • Location: Dong Thap Province, Vietnam
   • Job Summary: The Rice Business Development Officer works under the supervision of the Rice Project Manager and in close collaboration with programme colleagues, partners, and private sector actors. The position supports the design and implementation of inclusive business and market-based interventions within the Rice Programme, contributing to stronger linkages between farmer organizations and market actors.

2. RICE FIELD PROJECT OFFICER (01)
   • Location: Dong Thap Province, Vietnam
   • Job Summary: The Rice Field Project Officer works under the direct supervision of the Rice Project Manager and in close coordination with programme officers, partners, and local stakeholders in the rice sector. The position supports day-to-day field implementation of the Rice Programme, including coordination of field activities, support to farmer organizations and partners, and collection of programme data in line with approved work plans.

3. RICE CARBON OFFICER (01)
   • Location: Dong Thap Province or Hanoi City, Vietnam
   • Job Summary: The Rice Carbon Officer works under the supervision of the Rice Project Manager and in close coordination with programme colleagues, partners, and relevant actors. The position coordinates and supports the implementation and monitoring of carbon-related activities within the Rice Programme, ensuring technical quality, data integrity, and alignment with recognised carbon standards and Rikolto’s monitoring and learning framework.
