Capacity building

The ALiSEA network aims to engage all its members’ organization in their sustainability journey by addressing all dimensions of agroecology in its training program. The ALiSEA network enhances technical and soft skills, knowledge and capabilities of its members on various topics (such as agroforestry, agroecology crop protection and pollination, practice brief, technical leaflet or video production etc.).

Capacity-building takes in 3 ways :

  • training session
  • knowledge sharing via online webinars
  • field visits

In the past 3 years, the network has trained:

313 people

across 3 countries

including 16 exchange visits

Our field visit focused on outstanding farms and initiatives, bringing together members, teachers, students and farmers.

Since 2022, 11 online thematic webinars have been facilitated to strengthen knowledge and experience sharing on agroecology based on topics of interest raised by ALiSEA members, to encourage informal exchanges and foster learning among ALiSEA members, and to give visibility to a variety of stakeholders (farmers, national NGOs, extension officers, researchers) to hear the voices of the field.
