Thongmang Organic Agriculture Cooperative (TOAC)

Thongmang Organic Agriculture Cooperative established on September 29, 2023, with approval from the Xaythany District Office of Agriculture and Forestry, the Thongmang Organic Agriculture Cooperative is officially registered with the Xaythany District Office of Industry and Commerce (0391/ຈທວ, issued October 5, 2020) and holds a business license from the Vientiane Capital Department of Agriculture and Forestry (4633/ກປ.ນວ, issued October 20, 2020). The cooperative’s office is in Thongmang Village, Xaythany District, Vientiane Capital.

Current Status

• Members: 70 households from five villages (Koudsambath, Nakoung, Douangbouddee, Nakhanthoung, Thongmang).
• Total cultivated land: 39.5 hectares
  • Certified organic vegetables: 34 ha
  • Rice (in transition to organic): 35 ha
  • Other crops: Vegetables (6 ha), bananas (8 ha), fruit trees (6 ha), cassava (7.5 ha), bamboo (13 ha).
• Aquaculture & Livestock: 45 fish ponds, 128 cattle, 125 goats (8 households), 250 chickens (2 households), 3 mushroom farms, 29 rice-farming households, and 33 vegetable-farming households.

Vision & Mission

The cooperative promotes joint investment, co-ownership, and fair benefit-sharing to improve member livelihoods. It supports higher-quality, cost-effective production, facilitates market access and funding, and manages input supply (materials, equipment, finance) and output distribution (sales and contract farming agreements).
