Summary:

This project aims to share on-going research findings about conservation of floating rice-based agro-ecological farming systems in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam to both national and international stakeholders including researchers, private sectors, farmers, local and national government policy makers in agricultural, environmental and science sectors.

Activities:
  • Documenting research findings and print them in a conference proceeding entitled “Conservation of the floating rice –based agro-ecological farming systems in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam”
  • Organizing a one-day stakeholder workshop for sharing the research findings
  • Organizing a field visit for stakeholders to the floating rice conservation in Vinh Phuoc commune of Tri Ton district of An Giang province
  • To develop and expand national and regional network of floating rice conservation in the Mekong region
