ALiSEA Regional Knowledge Management Coordinator
GRET is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our regional team as a Regional Knowledge Management Coordinator for the Agroecology Learning Alliance in Southeast Asia (ALiSEA). This key position plays a central role in promoting agroecology through knowledge sharing, digital platforms, and stakeholder engagement across Southeast Asia.
Position Summary
- Position: ALiSEA Regional Knowledge Management Coordinator
- Location: Based in either Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Vientiane (Laos), or Hanoi (Vietnam)
- Duration: 1-year full-time position, renewable
- Starting Date: 1 September 2025
- Supervised by: ALiSEA Regional Coordinator and Deputy, GRET Country Representative
- Supervises: National KM Coordinators in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam
- Travel: Local and regional travel required
About ALiSEA and GRET
The Agroecology Learning Alliance in Southeast Asia (ALiSEA) is a vibrant, multi-stakeholder network initiated in 2015, now involving over 200 members across Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand. It aims to enhance knowledge sharing, policy dialogue, and scaling of agroecological practices. GRET, an international NGO with strong presence in Southeast Asia since the 1980s, serves as the regional coordinator for ALiSEA.
This position is part of the Agroecology Promotion Programme (APP), funded by SDC and implemented by GRET and partners from 2024 to 2028.
Main Responsibilities
The Regional Knowledge Management Coordinator will:
- Lead and coordinate knowledge management strategies and activities across the ALiSEA network
- Supervise and support national KM coordinators
- Oversee the management and development of the ALiSEA Knowledge Hub (https://ali-sea.org)
- Facilitate the creation and sharing of knowledge products (articles, briefs, stories, maps, blogs, etc.)
- Strengthen capacity-building efforts and lead training for network members
- Ensure the quality and accessibility of information through digital tools and platforms
- Promote knowledge exchange and collaboration among regional stakeholders
The position involves strong coordination with the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) and other regional partners.
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree in agroecology, rural development, environmental science, KM, communication, or related fields
- 5–10 years of experience in knowledge management within agriculture, development, or related sectors
- Proven skills in managing digital tools, content management systems (WordPress), and data platforms
- Strong communication and writing skills (technical articles, briefs, policy notes)
- Experience working with NGOs, farmer associations, and multi-stakeholder platforms
- Proficiency in English (French is a plus)
- Only open to Cambodian, Laotian, or Vietnamese nationals
