Sharee is an interdisciplinary social enterprise focusing on agri-climate technology, addressing critical challenges faced by Lao farmers, including low yield and crop failure due to climate change; unstable incomes; the use of chemical inputs and herbicides/pesticides; and the intensification of practices such as crop burning and slash-and-burn driven by economic pressures and a lack of access to sustainable alternatives, financing, and support. We provide holistic solutions for a climate-resilient and inclusive agri-food system by enabling farmers and agri-SMEs to access training, financing, and markets for sustainable livelihoods. Our mission is to create opportunities for smallholder farmers and agri-SMEs for economic development and social advancement, especially for the most climate-affected and vulnerable groups: rural & indigenous communities and women & youth.
