Summary:

This project seeks to promote sustainable waste management in Son La province’s coffee industry. Central to this initiative is the development of feasible waste treatment models tailored for small-scale coffee processors. To facilitate widespread adoption, we’ll organize training sessions for processors and farmers, disseminating these eco-friendly practices. We’ll also hold workshops to share project outcomes and advocate for the incorporation of these solutions into Son La’s policy framework. Furthermore, a comprehensive case study report will be produced, documenting the project’s progress and results. Additionally, a technical video guideline will be created to provide a visual, step-by-step guide to the waste treatment process, ensuring the results of our project reach as wide an audience as possible.

Activities:
  • Establishing a pilot model of wastewater treatment from coffee processing
  • Establishing a model of treating post-processed coffee husks into microbial organic fertilizer, which contributes to environmental conservations
  • Capacity building
  • Organize a workshop to present project result and share lesson learned, and to advocate the solution to the local policies
