ALiSEA network in cambodia organized a workshop “Sensitization of Agroecological Concepts to New ALiSEA Members”. There are the blended session of in-door training which took place at the Alice Villa Hotel in Krong Daun Keo and out-door filed visit to initiatives of Tramkok Union of Agricultural Cooperative, ALiSEA member, in Tramkok District, Takeo province on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

In morning, there were the presentation to give more details about the ALiSEA network, deepen the understanding on agroecology principles, and sharing experiences from Tramkok Union Agricultural Cooperatives in producing Bokashi bio-fertilizer within the agroecology principles.

In afternoon, all participants visited the initiatives in Tramkok to explore the real practices of ALiSEA member in implementing the agroecology principles. First, they visited agriculture input house of TUAC which produced and sold the bio-fertilizer (Bokashi).

The workshop was participated by 21 participants (Female 6) who are the representatives from ALiSEA new members from 2022 to 2023. This event happened under the co-facilitated by DPA, GRET, and Uni4Coop.

In conclusion, this workshop allowed new members to learn more on ALiSEA Network, the theoretical concept of Agroecology, principles and practices of Agroecological principles of successful initiative of ALiSEA member where the new members will gain practical experiences and will improve the agroecological principles application in their target areas.
