ALiSEA in Cambodia is proud to have co-organized the organization of the Agricultural Cooperatives Business Forum (ACBF) in 2025, alongside CamboDHRRA and its partners.

This year, the forum was organized under the theme “Building Stronger Agricultural Cooperatives Through Digital Solutions” and brought together of diverse stakeholders from grassroot to policy level for over 350 participants across the agricultural sector to share best practices experinces and collaborate on solutions that will shape the future of Cambodian agriculture. This diverse mix of experts and practitioners allowed for rich dialogue on how digital tools can accelerate the growth and resilience of agricultural cooperatives.

This forum was an invaluable event for fostering collaboration, exchanging knowledge, and driving the digital transformation of Cambodia’s agricultural sector. Through constructive dialogue, shared experiences, and innovative ideas, the forum empowered participants to adopt digital tools, scale up their farming practices, and increase their market access.

Key Discussions: Embracing Digital Transformation in Agriculture

The plenary session of the forum featured a robust discussion on several critical topics, particularly the role of digital transformation in the agricultural sector. Panelists delved into the use of digital tools to foster innovative agricultural business models, with a focus on how these tools can support cooperative businesses and enhance market access.

One key area of discussion was how digital solutions could improve accessibility for farmers, especially smallholders, and help integrate climate resilience into farming practices. It was a sharing research result have shown that many farmers, particularly in rural areas, still encounter significant knowledge gaps that prevent them from fully utilizing digital technologies and limit their ability to scale up operations and tap into digital markets. This scientific result can help to create tailored and effective solutions to meet the specific needs of farmers.
