Summary:

We observe five challenges encountered by these smallholder farmers and one challenge specific to gender. Main challenges include climate change, lack of profit from farming, lack access to remunerative market. So through this project, ASDSP and Sharee will contribute to ensure food security and safety, and to pilot a sustainable and profitable agricultural livelihood model through organic and smart farming and the use of digital technology to enable access to market and agri-services. The approach is first to pilot and expand the organic and smart agriculture model through a participatory “learning by doing” capacity development and knowledge sharing approach. Second is to test and enable transparent access to remunerative organic markets and agri-services through the use of digital technology.
