We are pleased to announce the upcoming Consumers’ Day Campaign on Safe Agricultural Products, scheduled to take place from June 19 to 21, 2026 in Krong Svay Rieng, Svay Rieng Province.

Co-implemented by CFAP-Cambodia and DPA, with structural support from Uni4Coop and GRET, this event is under the ALiSEA-APP project with funding by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Belgium Partner in Development (DGD).

This campaign directly addresses a priority identified by Cambodian ALiSEA members during our General Assembly on October 30, 2025: improving digital campaigns and public engagement to clarify safe food standards across different agroecological practices.

Program Focus & Interactive Activities

To make agroecology more visible and accessible to the public, this three-day event combines public commerce, education, and hands-on field experience:

  • Public Market Fair (June 19–21): Featuring 20–30 exhibition booths where local farmers and ALiSEA member organizations will display, explain, and sell safe agricultural products. This is an open event designed to help consumers understand standard certification differences.
  • Learning Forum (June 20): An inviting forum for invited stakeholders, including expert presentations, open Q&As, and farmer experience sharing to clarify organic, chemical-free, and Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) standards.
  • Best-Practice Field Visit (June 20): A structured, interactive farm visit allowing journalists, students, local authorities, and consumer advocates to see the real processes behind agroecological safe cultivation.

Participation Notice

  • Market Fair: The exhibition booths and product showcases are open to all public citizens, consumers, and local residents.
  • Learning Forums & Field Visit: Attendance for these technical segments is targeted and strictly structured via direct invitations sent to farmer organizations, public health representatives, media partners, and local authorities.

Please note that selected participating organizations will receive their official coordination letters and registration packages directly from the national secretariats to confirm their designated delegations.
