Background
In the collective effort to grow agroecology, many organizations, projects, and individuals create valuable materials and share great experiences from their work. However, these helpful documents are often scattered across different places, making them hard for other people to find, access, and use in real life.
To fix this problem, the Agroecology Learning Alliance in Southeast Asia (ALiSEA) built the ALiSEA Knowledge Hub. This website brings together agroecology materials into one online library so users can easily find what they need. It also gives organizations and individuals a great platform to show their work to a bigger community, helping their materials get used and shared more widely.
This online event is organized to bring stakeholders together so they can learn how to navigate the platform, share their real experiences, and collaborate effectively to create a bigger impact in agroecology.
Event Objectives
- Help participants clearly understand what the ALiSEA Knowledge Hub is and how it works as a main center for agroecology materials.
- Encourage visitors to explore the Knowledge Hub website, search for useful topics, download documents, and check out all the different sections.
- Invite people and organizations who already have knowledge products to share and publish their materials on the ALiSEA Knowledge Hub website.
- Share real stories and lessons from members who have already successfully created and published materials together with ALiSEA.
Expected Outcomes
- Participants will know exactly how to go to the website, find sections, search for topics, and download materials easily.
- More members and partners will commit to uploading and sharing their existing agroecology materials on the platform.
- Participants will feel inspired by real success stories to create better knowledge products in the future.
Target Participants
- ALiSEA network members and partners.
- Agricultural researchers, project officers, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
- Young farmers, students, and anyone interested in sustainable farming and sharing knowledge.
