We are pleased to announce the upcoming Agroecological National Exchange Visit, scheduled to take place from June 25 to 26, 2026, in Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom Provinces.

Co-implemented by GRET, DPA and ECOLAND, and supported by Uni4Coop under the ALiSEA-APP project with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Belgium Partner in Development (DGD), this joint capacity-building program is designed specifically to address the priorities identified by Cambodian ALiSEA members during our General Assembly: soil health management and agroecology value addition.

Learning Journey & Program Focus

This two-day practical exchange combines theoretical classroom concepts with extensive hands-on field learning at two key stations:

  • Day 1 (June 25): CARDEC Research Center, Kampong Cham Province
    • Introduction to Conservation Agriculture (CA) principles and soil health mitigation.
    • Field observations of long-term trials (cassava, soybean, and maize) and crop engineering under CA.
    • Interactive demonstrations of soil structure dispersion, artificial rainfall simulations, and appropriate-scale farm machinery.
    • Practical sessions on cover crop selection, planting techniques, and post-harvest seed quality preservation.
  • Day 2 (June 26): Uni4Coop’s Agricultural Cooperative, Kampong Thom Province
    • Hands-on practicum for producing high-quality Bokashi compost, raw material mixing, and field application.
    • Knowledge sharing on Agricultural Cooperative-based (AC) business models to sustainably produce, package, and market natural fertilizers and organic inputs.

Participation Notice

To optimize localized learning, attendance for this exchange visit is targeted and strictly structured:

  • Format: Invitation-only.
  • Delegation: Participating organizations are invited to send one (1) technical staff member and one (1) model farmer who are prepared to implement these practices within their local networks.
  • Priority: Given to lowland agricultural communities who have not previously attended the ASSET Conservation Agriculture trainings.

Please note: Selected ALiSEA member organizations will receive official invitation letters and registration packages directly from the National Secretariat (DPA) to coordinate their designated participants.
